We set no limits to how far children’s learning might take them - and us.
It’s a journey we’re all on together, the children, the parents and carers, and the school. And Ofsted has graded us as Good.
We love how unique every child is and our small and nurturing environment allows them to develop in their own particular way.
Come and decide what you think
Susan Stickley, Principal
We know what makes children tick. Real experiences. Outdoor space. Fun. So that’s what we give them. All wrapped up in a creative and inspiring curriculum.
We have a dedicated forest school area, that we use for all sorts of other outdoor learning, too.
As for our themed class names, we decided to let the children choose. Being a magical bunch, they came up with Harry Potter. That explains our wizarding wall displays as well.
Central to all this is a clear focus on the individual learning needs of each child, and a clear aim to develop outstanding skills in reading, writing and maths.
Pupils’ behaviour is good. They are polite and respectful to each other and to adults. Pupils are kept safe in this nurturing, welcoming school.
We love to see children taking responsibility for themselves, for each other and for the school.
It empowers them to become the best versions of themselves they can be.
We foster a sense of inclusivity with older children supporting younger ones. And we give them the chance to be great leaders with a School Council and a democratically elected Head Boy and Head Girl.
A fabulous range of extra-curricular activities gives them the chance to develop skills they never knew they had. And our breakfast and afterschool clubs give parents and carers the additional time they need to work.
My child has learnt so much since starting in September, not just with numbers and reading but in confidence and lovely friendships.
As a small school with one class in each year group, we know every child and their family. And we know that working together will help children achieve their best. Every term we invite you in to school to see how your child is getting on and to our celebration assemblies.
We treat each child as an individual and tailor the support and challenges we give them to their specific needs. One thing every child gets, though, is praise and encouragement.
Our school is a positive place, where everybody works together to support each other. The result is happy and contented children.
